Poppy's New Home

Poppy moved to her new loan home last night :)

The move went well. I had to travel in the trailer with her (shhhhhh - naughty I know!) as she was just too little, but it was only a ten minute drive so not too bad!

She is now living in luxury. She has six acres, two companions, a stable full of straw and a HUGE field shelter with a deep bed - oh and a loving and knowledgable foster Mum - she's a lucky girlie!

Grace Has Gone Back To School!

Grace has gone back to Sheila's in Gilfach for a 'refresher course', can't wait till she comes back so we can go riding all Summer!

Poppy goes to her new loan home today too.

So its just me and Doughnut for the next few weeks. He's going to the field next door to stay with three sexy little fillies who will keep him happy - he won't want to come back!!

Grace's New Trimmer

After the sad retirement of our old trimmer, I had to find someone who would come out to the 'wilds' of Bridgend and trim Grace - its not as though its in the sticks but it was no mean feat!

So, I got in contact with Nick Vincent who is an Equine Podiatrist from Cardiff and he came out on Saturday. Grace got on with him fine! He was there for nearly two hours and he measured and inspected and photographed her hooves in great detail. The trim was nice and neat but Grace got really bored by the end of two hours and decided to show us how pretty she looks up on two legs!!

Good news is that my usually slow and steady mare is now zooming around the field, galloping to me for her tea and generally being a maniac - she must like her new feet!!!
